In reading Teresa Darklady Reed’s didactic op/ed piece on PG Porn in the Huffington Post I’m reminded of the ancient Navajo truism:

He who laughs last…didn’t get the joke.

PG Porn isn’t for everyone, but anyone who watches it and doesn’t recognize that it’s a parody can’t reasonably be expected to offer a sociological analysis of value. Especially if the basis of your argument comes down to morality contest. Arguing morality against satire is like calling professional wresting a real sport, then enforcing mandatory steroid-testing.

That’s the tagline of James Gunn’s new web series, PG Porn, which I’m proud to announce Safran Digital produced in association with the Gunn brothers’ Good Boys Production and sold to Spike. The debut episode, Nailing Your Wife, starring Nathan Fillion (Dr. Horrible, Serenity, Firefly, Slither) and Aria Giovanni, will air as an online exclusive on spike.com on October 8th.

The first real instance of the ubiquitous, mobile web on a consumer-friendly handset is the Apple iPhone 3G. It’s a game-changer and a technology market-mover. We all know that. But as we also know, what drives technology development and adoption more than anything else is porn. Just as users will always find ways to get their porn, smart technology companies will find ways to provide and monetize it.

But how does one find free porn video content on the new iPhone? You can’t find it on Youtube, which comes native as a featured applicaiton, and some of the better-known adult streaming sites like Youporn, Redtube, Eskimotube all serve their content for free, but in Flash video, which isn’t supported on the iPhone.
